FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Alford Foundation & Crawl Space Repair, and Alford Pest Control Partner with WOWK for Annual Marine Toys for Tots Drive
Charleston, WV – November 8th, 2024 – Alford Foundation & Crawl Space Repair, and their sister company, Alford Pest Control, are once again teaming up with WOWK to be a designated drop-off location for the annual Marine Toys for Tots Drive. This longstanding partnership aims to spread holiday cheer by collecting brand new, unwrapped toys to benefit economically disadvantaged children this Christmas season.
Marine Toys for Tots, a program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, has been delivering the joy of Christmas to children in need for 33 years. To date, the program has successfully distributed more than 677 million toys to 301 million children across the nation. The goal of the campaign is to ensure that every child has a memorable holiday filled with toys and happiness.
"We are honored to once again be a part of such a meaningful cause," said Jamie Messer, Marketing Coordinator, at Alford Foundation & Crawl Space Repair and Alford Pest Control. "This drive is an opportunity for our community to come together and give back, ensuring that children who might not otherwise experience the joy of Christmas are not forgotten."
The drive will take place at Alford's headquarters in Saint Albans, WV, with donation boxes available from November to December 1st. Participants are encouraged to drop off new, unwrapped toys at the office from 8am to 5pm Monday-Friday.
Toys of all kinds are welcomed, especially those for children in various age groups—from infants to teenagers. Donations will be collected and distributed locally, directly benefiting children in the surrounding areas.
"We are incredibly grateful to our community partners, including WOWK, for helping us make this event a success year after year," said Dustin Hatfield, General Manager, at Alford Foundation & Crawl Space Repair. "The generosity and support we receive from the community truly make a difference."
