Local Basement Solutions for Cabell County, WV

Chris M contacted up about a sinking slab in their sidewalk. We did a lift and level to correct their issues. 

Janice H. was experiencing a sinking and settling driveway, creating an eyesore and issues with water drainage. The customer's goal was to fix the water drainage issue and eye sore from the street, ultimately increasing her property value. 

Our Solution Specialist, Andy M., completed a full inspection of her property and quoted a solution to permanently fix the issues. The quote included our PolyLevel and NexusPro Joint Sealant. 

PolyLevel is a high-density polyurethane foam used to fill voids and lift sinking concrete slabs. NexusPro is a silicone-based sealant formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and to stand up to harsh weather conditions. NexusPro is not affected by extreme temperatures, which can be installed year-round, and is resistant to UV rays. Installing the two products will fix the sinking sidewalk and increase the property value so that the customer can sell their home. Our foreman, Zach I. and his crew headed out to install these and fixed the customer's issues, leaving a beautiful looking, crack-free driveway. 

Challenge:

A homeowner in Barboursville, WV had a wet and dirty crawl space in his home. The insulation was falling from the ceiling and mold was growing. This was a particularly tricky case due to some immovable obstacles like low-hanging pipes. We sent out our Solution Specialist, Geoff M., to do an inspection of the area. He provided a permanent solution for repair and encapsulation that the homeowner agreed to have us do.

Solution:

Our expert crew went out and completed the job. They laid down drainage matting on the crawl space floor to help any water to flow underneath and drain instead of pooling and becoming stagnant. Then, they installed the CleanSpace vapor barrier to encapsulate the space and keep all outside elements (mold, water, microbes, etc.) from entering the crawl space again. SilverGlo was lined along the walls to insulate the crawl space, as they had removed the old and moldy fiberglass insulation. This will prevent outside air from coming in and inside air from going out.

The was also a vent in the crawl space, which is never a good idea. These also moisture, pests, and other bad things into your home. If you do have one, then the crawl space needs to be encapsulated before covering it because otherwise, it will become stuffy and ill-ventilated. Once the crew set everything up correctly, they used a CleanSpace vent cover to cover up the existing vent. Finally, they set up a SaniDry Sedona to prevent any extra moisture and keep the crawl space dry.

The homeowner is happy with our results! Now he's able to use his crawlspace as storage space and has peace of mind knowing that it will stay mold-free in the future.
