Foundation Settlement Repairs
Challenge
This home was built in the 80's on negative grade and never had any foundation issues until this past summer during our dry spell where the soils dried up and shrank which then caused the foundation(footer) to settle and crack. As a result there was immediate evidence on the exterior brick veneer that there was 3/4" of vertical settlement ocurring with the home. These home owners wanted to know the details about what and why their house was settling along with what the proper fix was so they wouldn't have to worry about it getting worse and their house falling in.
Solution
By installing Foundation SupportWorks pateneted design Push Piers with the standard "L" bracket mounted underneath the footer, we were able to not only permanently stabilize the home with a Lifetime Warranty, but we also in this case we achieved lift to be able to close the existing cracks in the brick veneer.
